Job Summary
Repair and/or rebuild structurally failed or worn parts requiring welding process reconstruction. Work in adverse weather and other adverse shop and field situations presented by customer needs. Accept all out of town assignments requiring overnight stays. Communicate orally and in writing information, instructions, and explanations to associates, customers, and management regarding conditions, problems, and recommendations.
Essential Functions

Fabricate and/or repair metal parts.
Comprehend and interpret blueprints, route sheets, sketches and diagrams.
Operate welding equipment.
Prepare service reports.
Plan and control cost of repair jobs.
Maintain company equipment – keep in good clean orderly condition.

· Work safely always. Adhere to all applicable safety policies. Comply with all company policies, procedures and standards. Always maintain a safe work environment for self and others.
· Communicate understand and act in accord with GEN-TECH’s standards of conduct, policies, and procedures.

Timely communicate ideas and feedback using appropriate communication means.

· Perform preventative maintenance on all machines where applicable.
Additional Responsibilities

Own and maintain required personal tools.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Maintain current MSHA card if work area requires.
Provide on-the-job training to technicians and helpers as assigned.
Work overtime as needed.
Communicate with proper individuals to clarify instructions or discuss scope or progress of job.
Work within and promote corporate core values and mission statement.

Able to read and correctly interpret diagrams & blueprints.
Basic knowledge of heat stresses in metal.
Know proper use of cleaners and solvents.
Ability to maintain consistent attendance.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
Ability to work independently or in a team setting

Education and Experience

Proof of high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
Current driver’s license.
Minimum of 1-year related experience.
